Polisi inamsaka mwanaume wa Rombo aliyemuua mkewe na kumfukia kwenye zizi la ng'ombe

POLICE here are looking for a 43-yearl-old man, Peter Mroso, a resident of Ubetu village in Rombo district who reportedly killed and buried his wife inside the family cowshed.

The Regional Police Commander (RPC), Mr Godfrey Kamwela, said the incident occurred on February 25 this year and the suspect ran away after committing the offence.

The RPC named the deceased as Jenipher Peter (45). He said that after the news circulated in the area, some residents tipped off the village chairman, Mr Alyce Venance Swai (51).
"Information we collected from the scene showed that part of the body of the woman was buried while the head remained uncovered," he stated.

The regional Police chief explained that the deceased was living with her husband and their three children. However, Mr Kamwela said that the suspect's records show that he had served one year jail term at Ubuiko prison.

"The suspect had no good record, he had stayed behind bars for a year for being found in possession of marijuana," he noted.
The body of the deceased is preserved in Huruma Hospital in Rombo district for further medical investigation while police continue with their efforts to seek the suspect, said RPC Kamwela.
