It has launched an investigation after someone posted a picture on Facebook of what is allegedly raw chicken bought at a KFC branch, TimesLive reported
The report said that Wayne Smith from Vanderbijlpark bought the chikcen on Saturday, but after just one bite noticed something was very wrong.
After Smith's post, another photo of allegedly raw KFC chicken was posted on Twitter.
The fast food company's managing director Doug Smart told TimesLive that a full investigation had been started.
"Even though we make every effort to maintain the highest quality standards, from time to time mistakes can happen," Smart was quoted saying.
